Who created the Internet?

Although there were predecessors to Berners-Lee's Internet, such as an Interface Messaging Processor in the 1960s and ARPANET, the first Internet Service Provider of 1964, the world wide web marked the first introduction of web pages and links. It effectively connected people on different computers in a "web" format. Berners-Lee had also developed HTML, or hypertext markup language, which is used in web page development today.
The first web browser, Mosaic, was developed in 1993. Netscape followed in 1994. These were predecessors to Firefox, Google Chrome and Internet Explorer.
